Our track splitter has been developed over multiple months using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) testing to predict downforce, drag and stability. We consulted with YRC (Yeti Racecraft Inc.) to develop and refine the design; and performed all of the testing on a MK7 model to calculate the most accurate numbers we could.
Search around and you will find that most businesses provide data points from their airfoil or blade alone, because the part was designed to be universal. Our kit has been developed specifically for the MK7/7.5 platform. This kit has been designed so that each component can be replaced, including just half of the blade. Drive off track, bend an endplate or mangle a lower strake on one side? No problem, just swap on a replacement.
Our results are shown in the table image. 100+ lbs of downforce @100mph, with exponentially more as speed increases. We utilize the same brackets for our V2, V3, V4 kits. So you can easily unbolt and swap on a different blade for street, or autocross use.
